System Administrator (Windows)

About the Role 

We are looking for a skilled System Administrator (Windows) to join our IT operations team. In this role, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of our Windows-based infrastructure. You will work closely with IT, engineering, and security teams to maintain a reliable and scalable environment that supports our business operations.


Your Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments
    (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies)
  • Manage and monitor server performance, availability, and capacity
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Deploy Windows updates, security patches, and system upgrades
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Maintain and improve IT documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support on-premises and cloud systems
  • Ensure compliance with company security guidelines and IT standards
  • Support hardware lifecycle: installation, configuration, and replacement

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
    (3+ years preferred, but flexible)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server infrastructure
  • Solid experience with:
    • Active Directory & Group Policy Management
    • PowerShell scripting
    • DNS, DHCP
    • Backup/restore tools (Veeam, Acronis, etc.)
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
  • Experience with IT monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, or hybrid cloud setups
  • Automation experience (PowerShell modules, Desired State Configuration, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices
  • Experience with SCCM or Intune
  • Certifications such as:
    • MCSA / MCSE
    • Azure Administrator Associate
    • CompTIA Server+ / Network+
